Ford Unveils 2021 F-150 Tremor, a Rugged 4×4 Pickup Option
For those Ford fans who crave a little more off-road prowess from their trucks, Ford has recently revealed the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor. This impressive trim adds visual aggression, more ground clearance, and plenty of off-road capability.
The newest iteration of the F-150 is advanced enough as it is, but the unique and specialized Tremor adds a host of new suspension upgrades with optional trail tech and comes standard with upgraded springs at the front and rear, along with exclusive monotube shocks up front with twin-tube shocks at the back.
These springs succeed in giving the Tremor a significant lift, while the softer shocks allow softer damping at lower speeds. New changes to the tires are designed specifically to allow for better ground grip, while additional height and suspension travel elements offer better approach, departure, and breakover angles.
The off-road functionality doesn’t stop there. On this truck, you’ll also find standard locking front and rear differentials and a Raptor-styled skid plate that exists to protect your under truck components from terrain. 33-inch tires wrapped around Tremor-specific 18-inch wheels are also standard.
Upgraded front knuckles and upper control arms also come as part of the package, offering a clean and aggressive stance that’s one-inch wider than a normal truck. Under the hood, you’ll of course find Ford’s signature 3.5L EcoBoost V6 dishing out the power.
Aesthetically, the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor has also gained a unique grille and a blacked-out Ford oval emblem. In addition, this truck’s rear bumper comes with dal exhaust cutouts and factory-installed tow hooks.
To really identify this truck as a Tremor, it has been given seriously cool and unique badging and copious amounts of Active Orange trim. Overhead, a slate of switches have been preinstalled to make it easier to connect and run accessories like winches and additional lights.
While the standard Tremor comes with plenty of incredible features, those seeking even more can opt for higher-end equipment groups that receive features like torque-on-demand, off-road tech systems like Trail One-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist, and added drive modes like the exclusive rock-crawl system.
Thus far, no definitive pricing has been announced for the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor, but it will only be offered in SuperCrew configuration with a 5.5-foot bed. It is expected to hit lots next summer.
