Ford Performance Returns as Sponsor for 10-Time World of Outlaws Champion Donny Schatz

The 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Racing season is right around the corner! The first race is scheduled for this weekend at Arizona Speedway’s Wild Wing Shootout. 
 

There, ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz will once again partner with his team owner, NASCAR legend Tony Stewart, as they show off their new ride, sponsored once again by Ford Performance.
 

Ford Performance already provides engines for Tony Stewart Racing, so the continued partnership makes perfect sense. This season, Ford Performance’s efforts will focus on the 410 cubic engine for Schatz’s race car, which is known as the FPS 410. 
 

Last year, Ford Performance helped propel Schatz to five World of Outlaw victories and a third-place finish in the points standings. This year, everyone is hoping for another stand-out season for the legendary sprint car driver.
 

The 2021 World of Outlaws season will be Schatz’s 25th as a full-time competitor, which is why his ride will be decorated in Ford’s Iconic Silver, marking this momentous occasion.
 

“We’re looking forward to taking what we learned about the FPS 410 engine last year and capitalize on the strong teamwork we developed to make 2021 even better,” said Ford Performance motorsports powertrain supervisor Christian Hertrich. 
 

“Our goal is to introduce significant hardware updates that will ultimately provide Donny and Tony with a winning package, and the way we plan to do that is by optimizing the use of our Ford Performance analytical tools and testing facilities at both Ford Motor Company and Shaver Specialties throughout the season.”
