Ford Motor Company & Ford Fund Invest Over $400,000 To Support Latina Entrepreneurs

The Ford Motor Company and its philanthropic arm, the Ford Fund, have recently announced that they will be investing more than $400,000 to strengthen and support small businesses owned by Latinas as they continue to battle back against challenges imposed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
 

Right now, Latina small-business owners across the country are welcome to apply for a $5,000 grant through the Ford Driving Dreams Latina Entrepreneurs program. 
 

In addition, the Blue Oval brand will be hosting monthly webinars throughout early 2021. These webinars will provide critical education resources, networking opportunities, and other business development tools designed specifically for Latina businesswomen as they navigate the ongoing pandemic.
 

“Minority and women-owned small businesses have been especially hard hit during COVID-19,” said Mary Culler, president, Ford Motor Company Fund. “Our goal is to provide much-needed resources to help minimize the economic uncertainty that many Latina small-business owners, their families, employees and surrounding communities are all experiencing during these unprecedented times.”
 

Ford’s Latina Entrepreneurs program was first announced via a virtual event: “Juntas Podemos: How to Adapt to Changes and Market Trends,” which is the first of many online events that will be offered as part of this exclusive program.
 

The Ford Driving Dreams Latina Entrepreneurs initiative is just the most recent addition to the Ford Fund’s long-standing commitment to assisting Latino communities across North and Central America. So far, Ford’s Driving Dreams has delivered more than $10 million in scholarships and educational resources to over 200,000 middle and high school students in not only the U.S., but also Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Europe.
 

In addition, the Ford Fund has contributed nearly $3 million to nonprofits and community organizations that are helping people manage the challenges related to COVID-19.
