2023 Ford Bronco Sport’s Rugged Off-Road Package

Ford Motor Company recently announced a new Black Diamond Off-Road package that can be given to the Bronco Sport’s mid-level Big Bend and Outer Banks trims for bolstered off-road performance. The package borrows some equipment from the premium Badlands, which also has a unique all-wheel-drivetrain and upgraded suspension system for rugged capability.

The package introduces four steel bash plates to improve protection along the underbelly. New 17-inch wheels arrive with durable 225/65R17 all-terrain tires. For a signature style, the package also comes with graphics on the hood, lower body, and doors.

There’s even more for Bronco Sport owners to do with their new Black Diamond Off-Road Package. Ford is opening up the Bronco Off-Roadeo experience to all new Bronco Sport owners, whereas previously only select Bronco Sport trims could participate. The Off-Roadeo experience involves a day of extensive off-roading in various locations, with instructors illustrating the finer points of driving off-road while showing owners the capabilities of their vehicles.

Ford recently stated that 90 percent of Bronco Sport customers who attend the Off-Roadeo program will probably go off-roading again, while 97 percent feel more confident about off-roading. Each location is tailored for all skill levels and provides great trail drives led by off-road experts, who will show attendees how to get the most out of their Bronco’s off-road prowess. This included experience is the ultimate opportunity to build confidence, expand off-road adventure skills and explore everything Bronco models have to offer.

“For adventurers who want to get more from their Bronco Sport, we’re enhancing the ownership experience by offering more trail capability with the new Black Diamond Off-Road Package, plus an included opportunity to learn what their SUV can do at Bronco Off-Roadeo,” said Ford Enthusiast Vehicle Marketing Manager Mark Grueber. “Today, nearly 90 percent of Bronco Sport customers that attend Off-Roadeo are likely to go off-roading again, and 97 percent of customers are more knowledgeable and confident doing so, furthering our goal of getting into the wild.”

The Black Diamond Off-Road Package is only available on 2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend and Outer Banks trim levels. Orders are now being accepted at Ford dealerships.
