2021 Ford F-150’s Column Shifter Still Widely Available, Depending on Trim

The 2021 Ford F-150 is a revolutionary and progressive pickup in a number of ways, and progress means change. Luckily, change is something that Ford truck customers have become accustomed to in recent years, as the all-new Ford F-150 has recently undergone a number of significant alterations for the latest model year.
 

For the 2021 Ford F-150, the column shifter is standard equipment from the base XL model all the way up through the Lariat trim, until the 502A High package. There’s no bed configuration or powertrain limitation either, though the column shifter is not available on either the XLT or Lariat Sport Appearance Packages, as those rides feature a standard console shifter.
 

The column shifter will also come standard on the F-150 XLT 301A and XLT 302A models, as well as the Lariat 501A, though the console shifter will remain as an option. However, in order to access the console shifter, XLT buyers must equip their trucks with the XLT Sport Appearance Package, while Lariat 501A buyers must equip theirs with the Lariat Sport Appearance Package.
 

After that, shoppers must forego access to the F-150’s column shifter altogether, as the option is not available on the Lariat with the 502A package, the King Ranch, the Platinum, or the Limited trims. The all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor is excluded as well.
 

As for the 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor, it is currently unclear whether this model will be available with the column shifter option, as Ford has yet to confirm whether the model will classify as a trim level or an option package.
 

Regardless, fans of the classic F-150 column shifter will be relieved to hear that the option is still available to them.
