Electric Ford F-150 Tows Over 1 Million Pounds!

For 42 years now the Ford F-150 has been America’s number one truck. American’s love the F-150, because they know they can trust it to get the tough jobs done. On July 23, Ford revealed something that will change the F-150 forever, something that no one saw coming.

Ford Motor Company gathered a handful of F-150 owners at the local rail yard where they were greeted by 10 double decker freight cars and 42 F-150s. None of the guys knew what was going on, but in the meantime they talked about what the F-150 means to them and their livelihoods.

After some time Linda Zhang, the Chief Engineer of the F-150, greeted the guys. They didn’t know what to expect, but she did come in an F-150.

Zhang told them that her F-150 was about to do what no truck has ever done before it. The prototype was about to tow all the freight cars. The guys didn’t seem to believe it, and she hadn’t even revealed the biggest surprise. Zhang removed a sticker and then they saw “All Electric Prototype”.

Everyone gasped, and they all seemed pretty doubtful that this electric truck could really do it, regardless they strapped the freight cars to the F-150 and started towing.

The electric F-150 pulled the freight cars with ease, it didn’t even appear stressed.

But, that wasn’t all. You will have to check out the video to see what they did next. You won’t believe it!

Ford has confirmed it will bring an all-electric F-150 to market, and that it will be in addition to the all-new F-150 Hybrid that goes on sale next year. This video is proof that the electrified models will have the toughness, capability, and innovation that F-150 customers expect.
