Incredibly Efficient For Everyday Use

An everyday SUV should be as fuel efficient as possible in order to make the most out of your money. That's why Ford has expanded the availability of the hybrid powertrain to both the Escape SE and Escape SEL trim.

This system utilizes a 14.4kWh battery pack, which earns an EPA-estimated 37 miles of electric range and an EPA-estimated 44 miles per gallon in the city. The hybrid powertrain is now standard on the top-level Titanium trim as well.

Even if you're not in the market for a hybrid, the Escape's traditional powertrain options are exceptionally efficient as well. The Escape's standard 1.5L three-cylinder front-wheel drive model gets 27 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway for a combined rating of 30 miles per gallon,

The larger turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with all-wheel drive is remarkably efficient as well. It has earned an EPA-estimated rating of 23 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.

Significant Safety is a Priority

When the Ford Escape was redesigned in 2020, special attention was paid to safety, assistance, and convenience. In fact, the safety level of this ride was so impressive, it earned both a  five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and a Top Safety Pick award courtesy of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

For 2021, these features return once again, this time with new driver-assist features like standard forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
